Everybody is welcome to attend these evenings. You don’t need to come with a partner, and all you need is a pair of soft soled shoes and comfortable clothing to dance in.
Warning : The “Pass Sanitaire” is required to access the Paris-Diderot University Sports Hall. The security personnel of the sports hall is in charge of the controls at the building’s entrance. You have to wear your mask inside the building except when dancing.
We meet most Monday nights from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Complexe Sportif de l’Université Paris Diderot, 9 rue de la Croix Jarry (13th arrondissement). See the Calendar for the exact dates.
For the first hour of the Monday evening, the class is split into two groups. One class is specifically designed for beginners to learn the steps and basics, the other is for more advanced dancers who want to improve their technique and discover the repertoire. For the second hour, both groups will come together for a friendly dance.
- The level of the beginner classes gradually increases over the course of the season, which runs from September to June. We are therefore unable to accommodate first-time dancers after mid-May, and ask that they wait to join us in the fall for the following season.
- Our classes and events are not opened to minors below the age of 14. Minors under 16 years of age must be under the supervision of an adult member of the RSCDS Paris Branch.
With the exception of visitors, we ask that dancers take up membership of the branch, particularly for insurance reasons (see Membership and prices).
